Our Commitment
Mafia: Circle of Lies is a free game built by one developer. This site should be usable by everyone, including people who browse with a screen reader, navigate by keyboard only, need larger text, or prefer less movement on screen. Accessibility is treated as part of building the site, not as something added at the end.
The Standard We Work To
This site aims to meet Israeli Standard IS 5568, which adopts the international WCAG 2.0 guidelines at Level AA - the level referenced by Israel's accessibility regulations.
Conformance is checked with axe-core, an open-source accessibility testing engine, restricted to the WCAG 2.0 A and AA rule set, plus manual checks for keyboard use, text enlargement, and reduced motion. Automated testing catches only part of what matters, so if something is broken for you in a way our tests missed, please tell us.
What Is In Place
Across every page and in all site languages:
- Keyboard access - every control can be reached and operated with a keyboard, the focused element always shows a visible outline, and a "skip to content" link is the first thing you reach so you can jump past the menu.
- Text contrast - body text, headings, labels and badges all meet or exceed the 4.5:1 minimum contrast required at Level AA.
- Structure for screen readers - real headings in order, page landmarks (navigation, main content, footer), and a name on every button, link and menu.
- Images - images that carry meaning have text alternatives; purely decorative images are hidden from screen readers instead of being announced as noise.
- Enlargement and small screens - text can be enlarged to 200% with nothing clipped and no sideways scrolling, and pages stay usable down to a 320 pixel wide screen.
- Reduced motion - if your system asks for reduced motion, animations are switched off and the auto-playing preview clips stay paused on a still frame. Each of those clips also has its own pause button, so you can stop the movement whether or not your system asks for it.
- Languages and reading direction - the site is published in 8 languages, each page declaring its language so screen readers pronounce it correctly, with Hebrew and Arabic laid out right to left.
- Video - the how-to-play walkthroughs have subtitles in all 8 site languages, and every video has a text description of what it shows.
Known Limitations
We would rather name the gaps than claim the site is perfect. As of the date above:
- The gameplay trailer has no subtitles. Its soundtrack is music only, with no speech, and everything it communicates is also shown on screen as text - but it has not been given a caption track describing the music.
- Videos have no audio description. The how-to-play walkthroughs are subtitled, but neither they nor the trailer carry a separate audio-described track or a full written transcript of the on-screen action.
- The role card viewer (the page a scanned QR code opens) passes the same automated checks as the rest of the site, but it has not had the same manual review, and it is the one page we would most like feedback on.
- The mobile game itself has not been through this audit. Parts of play use colour and on-screen timers, and it does not yet have a comparable accessibility review.
- Links that leave this site - Google Play, the App Store and Discord are run by other companies, and their accessibility is theirs to state.

Physical Accessibility
Mafia: Circle of Lies is a digital product only. There is no office, branch, store or service counter open to the public, so there are no physical accessibility arrangements to describe.
Legal Status
This site is run by a private individual as a non-commercial project. The game is free, shows no advertising, sells nothing, has no in-app purchases and generates no revenue. On that basis it falls within the small-turnover exemption in regulation 35 of the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Accessibility Adjustments to Service) Regulations, 5773-2013. The accessibility work described on this page is done because it is the right thing to do, not because it is required.
